This is Buddy. He is a mellow guy who loves to hang out with his people, although he gets the zoomies from time to time. Very shy personality outside of the home.

My boyfriend and I have rented this house for 11 years now, and it has a great backyard for entertaining. You would have access to the main bedroom, and all common spaces, but the two offices would be closed. AT&T Fiber high-speed wi-fi internet is available and large 50" screen TV in the living room with lots of streaming services is available. Plenty of room in the driveway for your car, and usually street parking is not a problem. If you need a car, you can borrow the Honda Fit. Our neighbors to our right are a lovely family and can be available if any issues come up our landlord lives on the island too so we will give you his info if there are any problems. We have an older, but anxious Border Collie dog (13 yrs old, neutered male), that needs daily walks and ball throws in the backyard. Ideally, you would be responsible for his care while we are away and free to use the house as your own.

Mochi and I love dogs and traveling. Sometimes we get to travel together, but sometimes we can't ☹️. We'd love to find a family to stay with for those trips. And we're happy to host other hypoallergenic dogs in the same situation!

We are pretty chill folks who enjoy hanging out with our dog Bailey. She is a lovable lapdog and wants to be with people all the time. She is very soft and cuddly, and also a bit timid of other dogs on walks but plays well with others in controlled environments. We are two adults and two teens.

We are adventurous souls, love travel, hikes, woods, beaches and good food.

We are looking for a dog sitting swap. Liza and Mimi are super chill girls. Liza is our newest addition to the family. Mimi is LAZY, but loves off-leash hikes and visits to the beach. Liza is slow to warm up, but after a proper introduction, she is good to go! They’re both absolute sweeties!

Ladoo is a mellow 9yr old Australian Labradoodle and is the baby of our family. He loves being in the backyard, hanging out at home and being with his human family. It breaks our heart when we have to travel without him and would like him to be with a family where he feels at home, safe and happy. Hi - my wife Heather and I love to hang at home with Nola and our cat Bailey! Nola still has a lot of puppy in her at 3 years old - but after some good play time/ walking in the neighborhood or at local parks, she also loves her couch/cuddle time! Nola can get over excited when meeting new dogs, but once acquainted and enjoying a playdate, warms up quickly! She would love a chance to meet new friends.

Charlie and Coco are fun-loving goofballs who love to play, but also love to snuggle and nap in the sun beams. Lots of fun!

Joan Jett is a super social and friendly husky, and the rare quiet one - she's completely silent unless she's playing, and then she makes weird growly sounds (but they're friendly, I swear). I have a 5 year old son and she's great with kids, but shouldn't be in a house with cats or other non-dog animals. She likes to wrestle and is a regular at the Alameda dog park.

I have 2 great dogs that are really well socialized and pretty low key at home. Mazie is deaf, so I always have her on leash when outside the home. Scout is 13 and loves napping and casual walks. My house doesn’t have a yard so we take lots of daily walks around Alameda. I currently work from home so the dogs are rarely alone.

Miso is extremely playful and friendly to all dogs and people. She’s got a great personality and is a Cavachon which is Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise.

Hello my name is Angelica and my pup is Sol a 11 year old maltipoo mix and daschund. She is a little anxious, but enjoys cuddles and playing with other similar size pups.

We have five dogs. Two labrador retrievers, and three small rescues. They live with us in our house which is a duplex. Downstairs our tenants also have a dog. Everyone gets along really well, our little dogs go visit their dog all the time. One big happy family.

Eloise “Ellie” Honey Chan is a 2 year old rescue that was in a prior terrible unsafe home environment. My best friend and her husband in LA rescued her from previous owner and cleaned her up. She had really long nails, fleas, and matted hair like a mop with pee and poop stuck on her. Once she was healthy enough, she started asking around for peeps interested in giving her a special home due to her circumstances. She already have two Maltipoos in a 2B2B. She came to me first cause I’m a Godmom to her puppos and knew I’ve been wanting to care for a dog since my 19 year old Pom passed in Oct 2022. My partner, Bill, and I foster failed Eloise on March 16th, 2023 and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I have been going through a rough time medically since Christmas 2022 with debilitating pain that’s been unmanageable and Eloise brought the light back into my eyes. Her eyes are Honey like the sunrise ergo her middle name. I would say I’m the Alpha and Bill is the Secondary Officer, but Ellie is super smart and sometimes decides to be a daddy’s girl fairly often. I get scolded often for treating her like a baby and holding her like a baby. Eloise is highly intelligent, loves cat naps, free runs on the beach, and one on one off-leash time with other puppos in an open safe park. She does not do well in large dog parks or car rides. She often gets overwhelmed when there are alot of dogs around her and becomes shy and won’t play. If a big dog park has <10-12 dogs, give her 30min and she should begin interacting with others. The only thing that comforts her in the car is having the window down, whether she is buckled in or on your lap sticking her head out of the window. We would love to talk more about your pup(s) and have a meet and greet prior so feel free to reach out to us.

We’ve recently adopted Finn and are impressed by his good behavior! He doesn’t bark except occasionally when he hears strangers at the door, is impeccably house trained, and very docile and obedient. We are mostly home and are mostly interested in an occasional walk or two for him in the middle of the day. We do have a kitty who does not love large dogs. If they are small (ie short) she will tolerate/ignore them as little mg as they don’t chase her or invade “her” domains.

I’m a 4th grade teacher in alameda and my wife works for the AHA. Leo is a mellow lovey boy. Very submissive. Sometimes gets nervous and barks but wags his tail and settles sien quickly.

Grace is very sweet and affectionate and eager to please. She’s a service dog in training - not ready for public access as she’s learning not to bark and not to jump on people and to heel on the leash among other things. She is high energy and LOVES the dog park. To run and play with other dogs.

My sweet Millie loves children the most! She’s potty trained and does and she really thinks she’s a human.

Hello! We are a family of 2 adults, 1 baby (<1 year), and 1 friendly corgi named Dexter. Dexter loves other adults and other dogs. Although he loves his baby brother, I think my school age nieces may have traumatized him so he may or may not be skittish around older children. Other than that, he is always full of energy and down to play, and is a huge goofball.

Milo is a 2 year old 12lb maltipoo that I adopted very recently mid October 2023. He was an owner surrender since they had a big dog that would bully him, so I was told he’s scared of big dogs now. He’s always happy and friendly to people and likes playing with other dogs, but have noticed a little of resource guarding when we had a play date. He does well when meeting dogs on his walks. He loves to play fetch and go crazy with his squeaky toys. He’s not always treat motivated, but his favorite is the salmon sticks from Trader Joe’s right now! He is happy to lounge around during the day but likes to go on walks as well and seems to have endless energy. He tends to play during the night. We are working on some tricks and he can do sit, up, turn around but may still need hand cues to guide him. He is also potty trained as well. He loves snuggling with people on their bed during sleep time! It’s been fun having Milo, and we are still learning about each other.

Hi! Sequoia is the sweetest mini Goldendoodle puppy! She’s very social, and loves to play! She sleeps in her crate at night, and very rarely needs to let out before 6AM. We have a fenced in backyard where we play fetch and train. She is young and super smart, so she does best with some structure. She has done very well with house training. Generally she will alert us that she needs to go out, but sometimes we can just tell by her behavior. She’s only had a handful of accidents in the house, since she came home at 8 weeks. We are committed to only using positive training techniques, and ask that anyone watching her does the same. Our house is full of toys and love! We are adaptable, and can accommodate any reasonable requests to care for your special pup!

Hi, we live in Alameda with two young children and Rambo. Rambo is 13 years old and is very chill. He likes to go for a morning walk and then sleeps most of the day. He is active and likes to go on car rides and be outside and go walking when we are outside but he is also comfortable cuddling at home. He is very low maintenance but you do have to make sure no food is within his paws’ reach. He’ll find it and eat it!

When people say humans look like their dogs it couldn’t be more true than with Winston and I. Both blondes who don’t like being woken up and will perform spins for food.

Hi! Fluffy is an energetic, 4 year old, white Mini Schnauzer. He loves taking walks, running and playing with balls and squeaking toys. He does suffer a bit from separation anxiety if he doesn’t see anyone around. He does know a few tricks and loves to follow you around if he thinks you’ll give him a treat.

We are pawrents to two sweet dogs, Olaf and Ozzie. Olaf is a sweet, pretty quiet boy. Ozzie is a sassy girl who gets into a lot of shenanigans much to Olaf’s disapproval.

Hi! We are a family of 6 that includes 2 adults, 2 kiddos, and 2 fur babies - our cat Juni and pupper Abbie. Abbie, our first baby, is going on 12 years old! She's a pretty mellow gal who is shy at first, but quickly bonds to whoever is caring for her. She loves snuggles on the couch and bed and these days mostly just wants to hang out with us indoors. She likes short walks but doesn't want to go too far now that she's an old lady 🙂 At home, she usually just does her business in our back yard. She especially loves to give kisses and sometimes will lick for quite a while as a form of self soothing. She's a very lovable girl.

I’ve only had Suki for 4 months but she is coming along nicely. She doesn’t like dogs or children who come on too strong. She would probably do best with an older pup. She’s good with cats

We live in the east end of Alameda and occasionally go away for 3-5 days at a time. Lola loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy finding another dog to spend time with, with the possibility of doing overnight stays if it works out.

We (husband, myself and Iggy)… are a fun family that loves dogs. We have recently moved to a condo and we do have 2 patios for the pups to enjoy. When the weather is nice we do walks and playtime outside. We have 3 grown kids and 4 grandkids. But, I have to say that Iggy stole my heart and he runs the show. He is spoiled rotten and because I work from home a total Velcro dog. He loves other dogs! Because we do allow him to sleep in the bed with us we prefer other dogs who do not shed. Looking forward to meeting your furkids!

We live in Alameda with our two kids and two dogs (Goldendoodle and French Bulldog). We are interested in meeting others in the neighborhood who are interested in trading dog sitting for trips out of town or the occasional walk when schedules get tight. Depending on the activity, we would be looking for sitting for one or both of our dogs. We have a fenced back yard for playdates.

Socks is sweet dog. She loves to hang out with humans and dog friends. She loves to cuddles and belly rubs. She is little jumpy at first with excitement but settles down in like few mins. She is couch potato but also loves to outdoor walks.

Charlie is sweet, loyal and cuddly and once he knows you you’re a friend for life. He loves long walks or lazy days equally. Charlie has a variety of pals back in Chicago, various sizes and breeds but he bonds best with dogs similar to his size. He’s anxious to meet new friends in Alameda as am I!

Hi there, Mabel and I live in a little cottage on Alameda. She’s an absolute smoosh who gets along great with other dogs, but she’s got some issues with separation anxiety, and she can’t be home alone for long until that’s fixed. I’ve got a small fenced yard, and live walking distance to the Alameda dog park, where I take Mabel to run around a couple times a week.

Lula is a happy 2yr old cavapoo who loves playing and running with other doggies or cuddling with humans! Very loving and sweet and rarely barks. He loves going on long walks but is just as happy to have lazy days on the couch. Get ready to fall in love!

Benji is my 6 to 8 yr old?… rescue dog that is part Mini Schnauzer and terrier 20 pound male pure joy companion. I own my home and have a backyard that is fully fenced. I love taking walks with Benji 2 times a day. Benji is good with other dogs either on leash or not.

My name is Helen and I live with my husband, daughter and our 2yo Poodle mix (65lbs) in central Alameda.

Hi, I'm Brent and this is our dog Ruby. Ruby is a 5 year old cavapoochon who is the 4th member of my family, along with my wife, my 4 year old daughter, and myself. We live in Alameda's East End adjacent to the trail that runs between the Bay Farm bridge and the bird sanctuary. We have a side yard that's fenced in. Ruby's smart, social and spunky, doesn't shed and is as close to hypoallergenic as it gets, and loves to play fetch and tug of war. She's great with people of all ages, including babies and kids. She is used to sleeping on a bed with us, with her favorite position being by the foot of the bed by our feet. She's comfortable being left alone for a work day (8-9 hours) if need be, and she also rides in a car without any issue. She can be leash reactive to other dogs due to fear and/or defensiveness, so on walks we cross the street when we see oncoming dogs, bring treats, and in a pinch can just pick her up, as she's only about 14 pounds. At home she's pretty mellow and content just lazing around until witching hour, when she'll want your attention to play. But if you've got a dog also, she loves having company and to play with other dogs. Ruby's non-destructive and has never bitten anyone, nor even destroyed a chew toy. She will bark in defensiveness, such as when the doorbell rings or she sees/hears the postman come through the door. Keeping shades/curtains closed when you're gone will minimize any stress or worry. She gets really excited when we have friends come visit, at least until the novelty wears off. With treats, she'll be happy to show off her range of tricks - spin, rollover, stay, leave it, up off and down - are all in her repertoire. We did a number of classes in puppyhood including agility, which she loves doing. She's athletic, agile and quick. And of course she's house-trained. Our hosting preferences would be for a smaller to medium size dog that has no to minimal shed, and doesn't require an excessive amount of exercise. Ruby loves other doodles, so that's a plus! But she's fine with dogs a size bigger than her, but does not get along with huskies or bigger dogs as well.

Hi, I live on the east end of Alameda and have a 16 year old Shih Tzu mix named Elvis. Since he is elderly, he is very low maintenance as he no longer likes being walked on a leash. He's a sweetheart who just needs lots of pats and potty breaks mostly. He's a champion snorer. About me: I love dogs and have a fenced grass backyard. I have a 7 year old daughter who also loves to play with dogs and cats. I grew up with lots of dogs around - my mom raised afghan hounds and many other breeds. I am comfortable around dogs and really like taking them for walks and playing fetch.

Hi! We are a family living in Alameda. Our easy going whippet, Leeloo, is 1.5 yrs old and loves to play and snuggle with other like-minded dogs. She is still a puppy and though she is house-trained, she cannot be trusted to be left unsupervised. She can, however, be crated for 2 hrs max. Our family is allergic to almost everything that grows outdoors, so watching dogs that are short-haired and well groomed are preferable. Your dog must be crate-trained as well.

Hi! We’re the Arnold family and this is our dog, Marshmallow, who we just recently adopted! We’re so excited to have a pup in the family, but we do travel a lot so am so excited to learn about that swap situation! We’ll be happy to swap with other families with dogs with similar temperaments. We’re hoping to keep it in Alameda. We do have some minor allergies in the house so hypoallergenic breeds are preferred, but for short stays we can explore other options. We prefer to host at our house when we’re sitting, and have our dog stay at your house when we are traveling.

Our dog Hops is a rescue from Korea, a Sapsali/Jindo mix with a very low-key demeanor. He is good with other dogs, cats, and children. (Visiting dogs would need to be able to tolerate cats.) He is overall a lower energy/chill dog, although he likes playing with his stuffies and other dogs! He can also easily be left alone all day and enjoys his sleep. We look forward to meeting you!

I currently work from home so I get to hang with my favorite coworker, Donut. He is a big snuggle bug who is highly motivated by treats. He loves playing with other dogs and we tend to go on a lot to paired walks. Since I have flexibility with my work schedule, I’m happy to watch other pups during the day as well.

My 3-year-old Chi-Weenie (I think?) loves to run and play. She was found roaming the streets of Oakland January 2022, but was fully potty trained, fixed, and understands commands. She’s named after the Schitt’s Creek character, Stevie Budd, because of her brown hair and strong side-eye. Trustworthy and Reliable Family with Adorable Mixed Terrier Seeks Vacation Dog Sitting Assistance

My dog is a 1 year old neutered American Leopard Hound named Augie. He's very playful and loves other dogs who also like to play or is really mellow and wouldn't mind his puppy energy. I'd prefer to host a dog that would play with him or a dog that is chill and will help him be chill, because Augie would play non-stop if given half a chance. I would guess he wouldn't do well with smaller dogs. I could host at home or come to your house if you have a backyard.

Barley is vey easy going and gets on with all dogs and kids (we have teenagers). He pretty much sleeps by my feet while I work most of the day and enjoys his morning and afternoon walks! He sleeps in his bed next to mine and often comes up in morning for cuddles but then sleeps until I get up. We have a fenced in large yard (and chickens in their enclosed area). Barley doesn’t really pay much attention to cats but we’ve had no direct experience in a living capacity.
